About the Role

The People Team at Sentry knows that the best product and business are built by the best team. Sentry is looking for a HR Generalist who is passionate about supporting our employees in our day-to-day HR operations, can promote positive employee relations and engagement, and help maintain an internal culture our employees love. We’re looking for a self-motivated, resourceful, and reliable doer who will help people achieve their best work and is proactive in handling a wide range of operational and administrative tasks. If you thrive on creating and maintaining a warm and inclusive space and working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, look no further! This position reports to the Vice President of People and will be instrumental in maintaining The Sentry Employee Experience™ in our home-away-from-home.

In this role you will:

  • Provide a warm welcome and high-touch experience to new hires, manage and run our on-boarding program and activities
  • Ensure the Company is following all locale-based laws and is in compliance at all times
  • Lead day-to-day HR activities, internal compliance and HR policies, handle employment-related inquiries from employees, oversee health and safety compliance, and handle all workers compensation claims
  • Manage full suite of employee benefits and coordinate renewal packages, enrollments, leaves of absence, changes and terminations, and monthly bills reconciliation
  • Coordinate other projects as needed such as updating Employee Handbook and HR wiki pages, and creating timelines for Open Enrollment

  • 4-6 years of relevant HR experience
  • Strong knowledge of legal compliance, federal and local laws
  • LOA / Benefit administration experience
  • An uncanny ability to spot problems and inefficiencies and quickly find strategic solutions before they cascade
  • Embrace a growth mindset and can find learning lessons in unexpected failures
  • Ability to prioritize, meet strict deadlines and maintain confidentiality
  • Demonstrated ability in technology software such as Asana, MS Office, G Suite, Trello, HRIS platforms (ADP preferred)
  • HR Certification or BA in Human Resources
