Uptime Monitoring Early Adopters Release

Sentry's Uptime Monitoring lets you monitor the availability and reliability of your web services effortlessly. In this release, uptime is automatically configured as a new alert for only the most relevant URL detected in your organization.

Uptime Monitoring performs GET requests every 5 minutes to verify your URLs are operational. Only URLs that return a 2xx status code are considered successful, and we’ve included automatic handling of 3xx redirects to prevent false downtime alerts. A 10-second timeout is in place, with any unresponsive servers flagged as potential issues. We also monitor DNS resolution problems, logging any detected issues as failures.

If a failure is detected, a new uptime issue is created with detailed error information. Customize your notification preferences to stay informed via email, Slack, or other channels, ensuring you can quickly address any downtime.

If you're interested in using Uptime Monitoring, ensure you’ve enabled early adopter access in your settings. For more details on managing your alerts, check out our documentation. We’d love to hear your feedback – reach out to us at uptime-feedback@sentry.io.
