About this role

The Talent team at Sentry supports our rapid growth-- we doubled our awesome team last year and plan on doing it again this year (nbd but kbd). We’re looking for our first full-cycle recruiter to help us hire the best talent and build out the DNA of our company with the first 100 employees. Hello….is it you we’re looking for?
You’ll work with our small but mighty Talent team of two to take candidates from intro to offer on the magical, often terrifying, journey that is job searching. We’re a tiny team with big dreams, and we need someone scrappy to execute and drive results. You’ll align efficient hiring processes and creative practices that engage and delight candidates and help fill our team with top talent. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Serving as the first and constant point of contact at Sentry for candidates across all positions (engineering, business, etc.), and ensuring an amazing candidate experience for all
  • Sourcing, engaging, and nurturing relationships with passive talent: you hate thoughtless reach outs, you love thoughtful persistence
  • Collaborating with hiring managers to have hiring discussions that are honest, data-driven, and strategic to drive hiring goals forward
  • Keeping diversity top of mind and continually seeking ways to discover and engage with talent from underrepresented backgrounds to drive our values forward

  • 2+ years experience in full-cycle recruiting or sourcing at a tech company or tech recruiting agency
  • Knowledge of (and opinionated on) recruiting tools (ATS and sourcing tools)
  • Interpersonal skills: you’re a natural conversationalist who is relationship-oriented and ever focused on the candidate’s experience
  • Organized and analytical: you’ve built out reports and organizational systems to stay on top of your work and reflect on how to be better
  • Collaborative: you’re focused on team goals just as much (if not more) as personal hiring goals

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience recruiting and/or sourcing for engineering/technical roles
  • Experience recruiting for developer tools or B2B companies
  • BS Degree in Business or Psychology
